Aids can improve quality of life in the long term and reduce uncertainty. However, not all of them are recommended. We have awarded the AGR seal of approval to a number of particularly back-friendly products. Find out what you should look out for on the following pages.

Overview, checklist and products with AGR seal of approval

Many modern aids play a crucial role in making everyday life easier and supporting people with special needs and disabilities. Well-being and independence are always at the forefront. However, aids should not be used to protect muscles and joints, but rather to provide appropriate individual support.

In old age, for example, falls become more frequent – often with more serious consequences than for younger people. Statistics show that around 30 percent of people over the age of 65 who live at home fall at least once a year. However, this does not mean that older people should exercise less for fear of injury. Especially in old age, it is important to strengthen muscles and train coordination in order to maintain mobility and prevent back pain. This not only increases physical fitness, but also mental fitness.
