Professional wet/dry vacuum cleaners
Cleaning made easy with click & clean: cleanness, functionality and ergonomic design
Vacuum cleaning is definitely not one of the favourite household chores, as poor posture and inadequately designed appliances frequently cause backache. No other household chore causes so many complaints about backache as vacuum cleaning.
The equipment plays a crucial role
The housework can only be approached unperturbed if back-friendly movements have become a habit. But what about professional cleaners whose job entails cleaning large surfaces usually on the customer's premises? Of course they can also get used to back-friendly movement sequences; but having the right equipment is just as important. After all, they are constantly transporting, unloading, using and stowing the vacuum cleaners and tools time and again, even several times a day. Well, here's the good news. Retailers offer professional vacuum cleaners that make it considerably easier and more back-friendly to cope with all the effort involved in cleaning, transport, loading and unloading.
Must be highly functional with physiological handling
Vacuum cleaners with a click-on accessory box are simply ideal. The great advantage here is that there is no longer any need to keep bending down all the time to find the right tool. The vacuum cleaners also roll easily, so there is no need to keep carrying the boxes, apart from going up and down stairs. Furthermore, modern appliances now also have a tube roller that fixes the tube securely to the vacuum cleaner and also makes transport easier.
Checklist
- The vacuum cleaner should manoeuvre easily; important aspects here include large rollers and castors together with a parking brake.
- It must be possible for storage containers for electric tools and accessories to be clicked on so that these no longer have to be carried around. This also results in a favourable working height with no need to work at floor level.
- The vacuum cleaner must offer high functionality. This includes an adequately high suction capacity (min. approx. 250 mbar), large dirt container (between approx. 35 l and approx. 55 l, depending on the appliance), together with the possibility of vacuuming different materials, e.g. wood shavings, wood dust, concrete dust and other kinds of dust usually found on building sites (substances in hazard categories L or M)
- It is very important that the appliance warrants physiological handling. In addition, to the points named above, this includes:
- the shape of the handles on the vacuum cleaner and the click-on box
- the positioning of the handles
- easy accessibility of the switches
- tube roller on the vacuum cleaner
- relatively light weight
- tube of adequate length (at least approx. 3 m). The longer the tube, the greater the flexibility
- simple semi-automatic or fully automatic filter cleaning
- simple possibilities for emptying the dirt container
- relatively low noise level (soundproofed motor head)
- simple handling of the electric cable
- control elements that are accessible and easy to use
